James Mackay Robertson (5 April 1854 - 18 February 1928) was a Scottish painter and draughtsman.[1][2]

His father was Archibald Robertson (13 February 1819 - 23 May 1892), a tobacco pipe maker from Greenock, Renfrewshire.

His mother was Elizabeth Laing (12 November 1820 - 1878) from Edinburgh.[7] She was previously married to Robert Mackay, they had married in 1841.

James Robertson was born on 5 April 1854 in Edinburgh.[8]

He married Margaret Brown of Edinburgh. They issued banns on 16 March 1884 and they married on 21 March 1884 at 3 Leslie Place, Edinburgh.[9]

Death

He died of heart failure on 18 February 1928 at 175 High Street in Wealdstone, Ruislip, London, England.[10] He was buried in Wealdstone cemetery.[11]
