Hamish Constable Paterson (1 February 1890 - 23 September 1955) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
editHis father was the artist James Paterson (21 August 1854 – 25 January 1932). He was associated with the Glasgow Boys.
His mother was Eliza Grier Ferguson, the daughter of engineer William Ferguson and Janet Cooper. James and Eliza married in 1884.
James Constable Paterson, known as Hamish, was born on 1 February 1890 in Moniaive, near Dumfries. He was baptised on 21 May 1890.

editHe died on 23 September 1955 at Moniaive, near Dumfries. He is buried in Dean cemetery, Edinburgh.[3]
