Universe League is a K-pop survival show built around a league-style format, dividing 42 contestants into 3 teams. The episode started with "Pick", the first stage out of the five stages in P.R.I.S.M. The contestants form teams through a draft process and begin showcasing their skills. The picked trainees form the "Starting Players". Those who are not picked eventually need to wait until the mentors pick them to form the "Bench Players" of each team.

Right after the judges picked and formed their starting players, its time for them to choose their bench players to complete the team. The second stage from P.R.I.S.M, "Represent", was then introduced. This marked as their first performance in the competition. Teams were given songs that each players need to perform and execute. On-site voters were the ones to choose which team will win. Starting players were the first one to perform. They successfully executed their performance, and "Team Rhythm" was declared as the winner.

After the performance of the starting players, it's now the bench players' turn to perform. A twist of events occur, but eventually, "Team Groove" was declared as the winner. Combining the scores of starting and bench players, "Team Groove" was the overall winner of this round. Right after the performance, it's now time to rearrange the players based on their votes and give yellow cards to those who have the lowest scores. Players with rank 1-7 will be the starting players, while contestants with rank 8-14 will be the bench players. Yellow cards are given based on the results of the current round. The team who ranked second will be given three yellow cards, while the team who ranked third will be given six yellow cards. If a contestant received two yellow cards, the contestant will immediately be eliminated. Additionally, the trading system is also introduced. Teams are given trade tickets to choose the players that they want for their team. Trade tickets are given based on the results of the current round. The team who ranked first will be given two trade tickets, while the team who ranked second will be given one trade ticket.
4 | "Episode.04" | December 13, 2024 | 0.5%
It is now time to open the new stage. "Intercept" is the next stage from P.R.I.S.M. According to this round, the starting players will be given original songs composed by the directors of the team. The bench players will be given a chance to choose which team will they intercept or compete with. Just like the last round, on-site voters were present and the live votes will decide which team will release the original song.
5 | "Episode.05" | December 20, 2024 | 0.5%
The performance of the players continued with a mix of emotions. Some teams were unable to get and secure the song, while others are happy that they were able to get and release the original song given to them. Right after the performance, it is now time to rearrange the players once again and determine who will get yellow cards. Some contestants were eventually eliminated after they received two yellow cards. |

Missions
editPick (Episode 1-2)
editThe 42 contestants were separated in 7 teams of six players each, and they each performed their assigned song in front of the director cast. Following each performance, the directors of each Team would select their First Pick for their roster. If more than one Team selected the same player, the player could select the Team he would like to be a part of. The Team(s) that wouldn't be chosen as a result of the player's choice could then select their Second Pick for their roster.
