Rivers Uly-Zhylanshyk, Terisaqqan, Zhymyky, Baikonyr, Kalmakkyrgan (Bileuty) and Karakengir have their sources in the range.[4][5][2]
Flora
editSteppe vegetation, including grasses, Artemisia and Ephedra grows in rock crevices. Shrubs are found on scree slopes.[1]
