Review of article March 2007
editThis is a stub. It contains some basic facts and a lot of information of relevance to pupils only (eg times of lessons etc). Much of this is non-notable and hence has been deleted as such information is inapppriate for an article in an encyclopedia. Formatting was also poor and has been tidied up. The article generally lacks citation of appropriate sources for information.
The article about Manchester Grammar School is a good model to emulate in terms of the nature and level of content.
Future contributors should aim to:
- History: summarise a timeline of the development of the school
- provide verifiable information about the standard of the school and the exam results eg the latest Inspection Report
- identify verifiable facts about school numbers (eg pupils;teachers etc)
- identify and source any notable achievements and notable ex pupils

I am a pupil at this school and I can verify most of the information in the article apart from alumni. The Founder's Principles are on the school website and I believe much of the other information is too. Hope that helps!
Alumni
editC.A. Lejeune was one of the founders, she did not go to the school. If she is meant to be in the alumni section, then all of the founders should be added as I think all of them have Wikipedia articles and are quite well known. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.21.33.99 (talk) 07:32, 11 April 2007 (UTC).
Should the cast members, Bekki and Charlotte be added as alumni from Living on the edge the tv show, as they went here until the summer of 2007. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.21.33.99 (talk) 20:49, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Founders
editThe school website (www.withington.manchester.sch.uk)confirms the names of the Houses and where they originated from I think. I can confirm this myself as well as I am a pupil of the school and this is what we have always been told. (82.21.33.99 07:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC))
Exam Results
editMany websites such as the BBC and the newspaper league tables put Withington in the top ten regularly. (82.21.33.99 07:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC))
This year they were 2nd in the country for GCSE and 4th for A-level, should this be added? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.21.33.99 (talk) 08:34, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
