WRXP's transmitter....
editBefore any changes are made can anyone confirm whether or not WRXP is still broadcasting from the former 94.7 transmitter site in West Orange, New Jersey or have they official moved their broadcast facilities to co-exist with WABC (AM) and WPLJ-FM? I tried calling the station manager at Family Radio in West Orange but kept getting an answering machine. I want to make sure anything I put in will not cause any problems so that's why I'm asking first. Thank you in advance. TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 00:37, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
History, Former Licensee, Sale
editSeveral of my constructive edits have been reverted by Other Side One who has called the edits "silliness" and "vandalism" sparking an edit war. I am respectfully requesting feedback on these edits:
First, The station had uniquely been owned by one licensee for over 47 years. As part of its history, I assert the exact date on which the station was bought is relevant.
Second, The station was owned by Family Stations Inc. which ran the Family Radio format. Another dispute involves which name should be used as the owner. I assert that referring to the owner as Family Radio is a colloquial reference and is not necessarily encyclopedic in nature.
Third, an article titled "What is happening with Family Radio?" is referenced and is credited to Harold Camping under references. I assert that crediting him a second time in the "Sale To Cumulus" section is redundant, yet Other Side One has reverted this edit to the redundant text so many times I've lost count.
Fourth, also under "Sale to Cumulus", the current revision states: "The switch of 94.7 FM from Family Radio occurred on January 11, 2013, as the station began a simulcast of new sister station WPLJ" This is inaccurate because the station briefly left the air prior to commencing the simulcast. I posted the accurate circumstances, yet that too was reverted.
I would like to solicit discussion on whether the edits I am proposing, have applied, and which have been reverted to this page are appropriate. The content I have posted has been accurate, in good faith, and does not violate Wikipedia guidelines. Thank you. 141.153.151.198 (talk) 00:41, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Honestly there's nothing really to discuss right now, one of the Wikipedia Administrators has taken care of the situation and put User:Other Side One in a chair in the corner with a 24 hour timeout and hopefully this cooling off period will help them learn to play nice with other Wikipedians.
