Contradiction about who first recognized independance of ukraine — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.154.64.20 (talk) 16:01, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- No contradiction. Canada was the first. For Poland and Azerbaijan it merely says "one of the first".--Sanya3 (talk) 09:05, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
Gérard Depardieu: "I like both Russia and the Ukraine - which is part of Russia"
editI removed today (the listing of a case of Ukrainophilia) French actor Gérard Depardieu from this Wikipedia article. I did so because in this The Baltic Times article Depardieu claims "Ukraine is part of Russia". Claiming "Ukraine is part of Russia" can not be seen as the love of and/or identification with Ukraine and Ukrainians... even if the full quote was "I like both Russia and the Ukraine - which is part of Russia". The link of the part I removed today was also a dead link.... so I can not variety what that link said... — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 18:44, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- I just found the dead link here; it does say "I hold in high respect the president (Yushchenko) and love dearly Ukraine"; which can also not be seen as the love of and/or identification with Ukraine and Ukrainians, he might have "loved dearly" 50 other countries at the time.... — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 18:50, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
