editI disagree that "A System of Religion" is not targeted at orthodox Christians, it does not mention the authority of the prophets which would be strange if it were not an attempt to establish Muggletonianism within the framework of historic Christianity. - I agree your opinion. The problem, though, seems to be Tomkinson himself and it's too late to do anything about him. He says one thing then does another, I feel. Perhaps the article should be better written to bring out the point you make?Coxparra (talk) 14:29, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
The past as a foreign country
editSome typos have been altered in the article today, some correctly, but others more doubtfully. Tomkinson spells 'struggle' as 'strugle' and mystery as 'mistery' in the actual titles of his works and I feel they are better left the way he bequeathed them because, if anyone goes looking for them, those are the words for which they should look. But I don't suppose it matters greatly. However, I would take issue with removing 'atheistical'. It is the word Tomkinson uses about his opponent during the course of the argument that is referred to in the article. Argue with the article by all means but I think it's wrong to rewrite Tomkinson. So, unless anyone feels deeply upset, I propose to revert that one correction after a chance for other opinions to be made known.Coxparra (talk) 13:54, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
