"Uncle Sam's" vs. "Uncle Sam"
editIt often sounds like there is no trailing "s" because good singers try to soften trailing "s" so they don't sound like hissing snakes. But the trailing "s" is there on this song. It's in the original sheet music, and it appears in a number of recordings if you listen for it. Billy Murray's rendition showed good technique, as he rendered it so softly that it almost isn't there. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 10:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
