Synopsis
editWho ruined the synopsis?!?! 69.161.101.224 19:48, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- It wasn't ruined....it was WAAAY too long. Check out Synopsis....it says "summary of major points"...not transcribing every single joke in the episode. GrahameS 19:55, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- I guess I'm the one who ruined it. The original synopsis was like a script with stage directions and all the bells and wistles. It would have taken less time and be more fun watching the episode than reading about it. It needed to be condensed. - Throw 22:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. The original synopsis was ridiculous. -- Raymondc0 14:26, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Trivia
editThe trivia note regarding the "even Stephen" comment seems coincidental and not necessarily related to the "Daily Show" segment that is referenced. The term/phrase "Even Stephen" has been around for a very long time and I have found no evidence that that specific use within the show was in relation to the Daily Show. - "... a "super-sized" episode. " -- It isn't ever defined what a "super sized" episode is and who uses the term.
- As with other Office articles, I think this one would benefit if all the subplots were organized into seperate paragraphs. As-is, it sort of bounces around in a way that is confusing for a plot summary.
- The last sentence of the plot summary, "Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein) confiscates the rest of Dwight's arsenal." would be aided a little if you explain how Dwight had weapons hidden around the office.
- In the plot summary, you don't note the actors who portray Jan, Kevin and Karen.
- Also, you never specify who Kate Flannery portrays, which makes her mention in the "Production" section a little confusing.
- The text notes that Andy Bernard is not yet a regular cast member yet, but he doesn't appear as a guest actor in the infoboc.
- No, he is a regular cast member at this point (NBC announced his promotion to regular status in early February, and this aired in April).
- Duplicate link tool returns two results: Andy Bernard and IGN.
- Checklink tool shows no problems for external links, and dablinks shows no problems with disambiguations.
- Altogether none of these things are too major. Will put the review on hold and wait for responses. —Ed!(talk) 02:24, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

19th/18th episode
editThere was some contention over the episode number, which is clearly listed as 19th on NBC pages etc. If you go through their episodes counting by hand though, it does appear to be the 18th episode aired that season, and multiple (not reliable) sources[1][2][3][4] list it as 18th. I'm not claiming anything, just offering explanation for the disagreement. Maybe it aired that way in some markets? Maybe the discrepancy should be mentioned? Or is it not WP:DUE? - NBC counted hour long episodes as two episodes. Have a look at List of The Office (American TV series) episodes#Season 3 (2006–07). "A Benihana Christmas" is a double episode, making it episodes 10 and 11, so "The Negotiation" is episode 19. Netflix and others count double episodes as one, not two, which is what gives rise to these discrepancies. Wikipedia uses the original broadcaster's episode numbers. —Bruce1eetalk 07:37, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Bruce1ee I...I think...you've just provided a direct, cogent, uncontentious answer to a question I raised on a talk page. *picks up jaw* Thank you, and bless all of your relatives as well. ЄlєvєN єvєN||иэvэ иэvэl3 13:05, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

- @Bruce1ee: You don't seem to have explained yourself at all, but that's not important right now. You explained the reasoning behind the numbering discrepancy quite properly, and I'm grateful. On another note, I'm sure you get this all the time because of your name, but are you any relation to Crispus Attucks? ЄlєvєN єvєN||иэvэ иэvэlэ 07:37, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
