editHello! I plan on making edits to this page within the next month in the sections of side effects, health benefits, and statistical trends. My main focus will be on updating some of the older referenced with more up to date and reliable sources. Krumpp (talk) 17:39, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
Hi Poppy
These article edits are well done. The recent revision adds new and current content, and improves organization of the topic, smoking cessation. New information on weight gain and treatment, new evidence on depression and anxiety, updated health effects and the number of US smokers using appropriate references citing the CDC, the National Institute of Health and systematic reviews. The format style of the references is appropriate. This edit improves organization and clarification by breaking down the “symptoms” Section into “withdrawl symptoms”
These changes use neutral language, and this edit improves the organization, accuracy, and completeness of the topic.
A very minor suggestion is remove the citation error, marked in red on Reference 197. Hardingla (talk) 15:57, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much Lori! I plan on checking the citations in order to fix any errors, and do some reorganization as well. Krumpp (talk) 17:39, 16 December 2022 (UTC)

bullet list template
editHi, is there a reason that the medications are in a bullet list template? I find it makes it hard to edit, especially for newer editors. Would anyone disagree if I were to remove them from template and add as normal text? I will leave this up for at least a few days to see who is out there helping with this article. Thanks!
Why are smokeless and tobacco free alternatives not included?
editThere are smokeless and tobacco free products available in some countries now that can help in smoking cessation. They're like oral inhalers with essential oils. Even some health websites list them in cessation articles. They've been around for long enough that researchers have already published a paper on their use. Why aren't they added to the article?
PS: I didn't add it myself because wanted to discuss it here to find out if there's good reason for their exclusion from the article. 124.253.200.201 (talk) 11:11, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
