Samian Wine
editHello Greek Wikipedians, I came to your section to improve my geographical knowledge of the storied haunts of Pythagoras. While here, I decided to improve some grammar, and then noticed a few POV comments about Samian wine. Specifically this quote, with no supporting references, "The prefecture's main products include the famous sweet Samian wine, renowned since the times of classical antiquity ..." (italics added).
I looked for a supporting source on the web. I was unable to find a source to support the claim that Samian wine was renowned in antiquity; instead I found sources that indicated it was NOT renowned in antiquity (e.g. http://www.greeka.com/eastern_aegean/samos/samos-products/samos-muscat.htm).
So, it looks like references are needed to answer the questions: How was Samian wine perceived in ancient times? How is Samian wine regarded today? What awards and recognition has Samina wine won, domestically and internationally?
