A fact from Ryoko Kui appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 June 2024 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:

Previous articles used "Ryōko" with a macron over the o. This appears to be a less-often used romanization of Kui's given name and per WP:COMMONNAME I have used the more commonly used "Ryoko" as the article title instead. This is in accordance with Yen Press' romanization of her name per: this example. Ornithoptera (talk) 05:01, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Comment: Thank you in advance for your time to the reviewer! If any admin comes across this, I still haven't received the 25 DYK Creation and Expansion Medal yet, at 28 hooks, so if anyone can it would be greatly appreciated! (As a footnote, Wizardry VI debuted in the west in 1990 but the Japanese release came out in 1995, if there is pre-existing MOS guidelines that state that it should be 1990 instead then I would advise it to be edited but the 1995 release is what Kui is referring to as her inspiration)
Overall: Interesting short article; it is well-sourced and well-written. I prefer the original hook over ALT1. My only suggestion is that mangaka should be unlinked per policy on consecutive Wikilinks and changed to "manga artist" for clarity's sake. Yue🌙23:07, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Launchballer: Apologies, I likely missed the absence of an explicit point of general interest because of my own interest in the series. I am unable to word the original hook in a way that is sound and under the character limit. I propose this alteration of ALT1, if you will, ALT2:
Marginally better, although I'd expect a more merciless prepbuilder to end it at 'games' and cut the 'the'. I don't plan on promoting any more hooks while there are five hooks in the bottom set, but if you've got anything else, I might as well hear it.--Launchballer20:26, 30 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
