Creation of Pretext as separate document
editI created the article for the term pretext to emphasize the difference between the term's use in social engineering (i.e. pretexting) and its use in other fields, most notably politics. I am doing so in the hope that we can add more to this article as more circumstances in which a pretext is used come to light. Lioux (talk) 22:56, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
In my opinion, the disambiguated word pretext when not in the sense of social engineering is more geared towards a dictionary entry than an encyclopedia entry... this is a grouping of random historical anecdotes which, while interesting, do nothing to help define or explain the concept of the pretext. In fact, I'd say the article as it stands used its title as a pretext for spouting random bits of information! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.179.196.109 (talk) 02:07, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
