Pelkie is an unincorporated community -- there is no "actual" Pelkie and such communities do not generally have suburbs. older ≠ wiser16:28, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
True, Pelkie is unincorporated, but while in the world in general it is uncommon for such communities to have suburbs, it is very common in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan (ridiculous but true). For example, Seeberville is a suburb of Painesdale, Brooklyn is a suburb of Baltic (Location), New Allouez is a suburb of Allouez. These suburbs of flyspeck unincorporated towns are regarded as distinct from the flyspeck towns themselves. It's a legacy of the many small, mostly failed mining projects, or projects to support mining, in the area. --Daniel C. Boyer (talk) 19:32, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
