Latest comment: 7 years ago by InternetArchiveBot in topic External links modified

I have moved it to PFC CSKA Moscow for consistency with Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Moscow sports club. Grue 20:30, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

What are the correct Russian and English pronunciations of PFC CSKA Moscow?

  • The first letter is actually Tz (like Tzar), and the abbreviation is pronounced Tze-Ess-Ka. Professional'niy Futbol'niy Kloob (Professional Football Club) Tzentral'niy Sportivniy Kloob Armii (Central Sports Club of the Army). --AlexLibman

No need to merge

edit

There's no need to merge, the "football" link on CSKA Moscow is enough to let people know to go to PFC CSKA Moscow. Besides, this is the correct name for the club.

MANAGE has be changed?

edit

it's true?

As of now, Valery Gazzayev is the manager. Conscious 09:51, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stolen Information?

Is this site stealing Wiki information? Not sure but wanted to make it known that another site is trying to copyright this page and possibly others as well. Kallenovsky 09:47, 02 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Date of foundation ?!?

edit

Founded in 1911 ?!? As it was founded in Soviet Union, how can the date be related to imperial Russia times? What kind of relationship between Obshestvo Lyubiteley Lyzhnogo Sporta (OLLS) (Amateur Society of Skiing Sports) and CSKA football club of the Soviet army ?!?

We don't say that the club was founded in Soviet times. The clubs' own website's history page says it was founded in 1911 as "Skiing Sports Amateurs' Society (ILLS)". -- Arwel (talk) 16:47, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Origin of the nickname

edit

In the English version it says that the team has the nickname because the first players were members of the army cavalry, but the Russian versions says that the stadium is located where used to be a racetrack and/or stable. Can anyone confirm that?

Ground

edit

In this season The Luzhniki is the main CSKA home ground. Our team is not going to play any games on Dinamo stadium. So this info must be changed. Ziobr 15:52, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

2009

edit

Added the new cup victory from May 31, 2009 into history section... great match. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.29.18.83 (talk) 07:19, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Affiliated clubs

edit

I have removed the 'Affiliated clubs' section as none of it is sourced. If someone would like to go through the list and add the relevant references, that'd be great. The clubs listed were Chelsea (for which there was a cite to "Анонс материалов еженедельника «Советский Спорт Футбол» (24-30 апреля)", but the article doesn't support the inclusion), Partizan, CSKA-Sofia, PAOK, Widzew Łódź, and Steaua București.
