Cyaxares

edit

Places Cyaxares, Amytis' father, in the family tree. Mawer10 (talk) 02:16, 26 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

We don't know if he was Amytis' father or grandfather, which means he can't be accurately placed. He is also normally not considered part of the "Neo-Babylonian dynasty", though he was ancestral to many of its members. Ichthyovenator (talk) 02:36, 26 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dubious section about Arabia

edit

There was part of the article that claim there's connection between neo-babylonian empire and Sin worship with Islam; that the symbol of crescent and star was originated from symbol for the moon god.

No citation given for said claim about the symbol, and it contradict wikipedia owns article: Star and crescent, who said that the symbol become associated with Islam in 20th century, believed to come from Ottoman usage of it. The article does mention the god Sin, but as parts of long list examples of the use of crescent in the ancient times.

I have removed the arabia section Salbazier (talk) 09:39, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Or rather, remove claims about the connection with Islam. The old version of the article from June does contain mention about Nabonidus activity on Levant and Arabia, without mention of Islam. The old versions' have citation (same citation with previous paragraph). So I have restored the 'Later History' section to how it was in the June version Salbazier (talk) 09:57, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
