Mention in fiction:
the Mount Weld mine is mentioned in the fiction novel "Poseidon's Arrow" (2013) by Clive Cussler pete (talk) 15:33, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
__ "Once operational, the Mount Weld mine is expected to be the largest source of rare earth elements outside of China." Small as they are, REE mines still currently operate outside China. The mountain pass mine is also a large operation. These facts need to be addressed.

This needs to be split into two different ideas. "In addition to the rare earth oxide deposits, niobium and tantalum deposits are within the Mount Weld carbonatite, an intrusive pipe approximately three km in diameter"
Talk about 1) the rare earth oxide deposits and then 2) the carbonatite mineralization.
sounds like they are different.
All the sources here are from a company which owns the rights to the property.
Whie Lynas is probably an honest operation, the obvious conflict of interest needs to be taken into account when they are charged with facts like "The deposit is believed to be the largest and highest grade of its [sic] type in the world"
otherwise good job —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.51.209.24 (talk) 00:17, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
