I propose this article be redirected to List of Irish loughs. Since this is a geographical article, it should deal with geographical entities, not political ones. The latter article contains the same information and is more detailed.
Opinions? ~Asarlaí 18:01, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm glad to see you're not being unilateral this time. However if you look at, for example Rivers of Africa you will see the country is listed, which you haven't done in Rivers of Ireland. I would strongly suggest you follow the same process and acknowledge the location and country of the loughs (and do the same for rivers). --Blowdart | talk 18:22, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
The article List of Irish loughs is specific about where the loughs are located – it includes the county/counties beside each lough. If you feel it's necessary to include the state too, that could also be included beside each lough. But remember that some loughs cross the border. ~Asarlaí 19:59, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'd like to see a merger. It's also much easier for people looking for information due to the fact that some loughs are cross-border.--Theosony (talk) 16:26, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
If it did merge a less problematic name would be List of loughs in Ireland. It would avoid the politically loaded term "Irish" --Blowdart | talk 16:29, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yep, 100%. It'd be the best name to use.--Theosony (talk) 16:31, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Rename as suggested by Blowdart, and make clear the political location of each. At which point merge the contents here into that article (for what hasn't already done so), and redirect this page to there. Canterbury Tail talk 16:45, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes that seems reasonable enough. ~Asarlaí 16:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
List of Irish loughs has now been renamed List of loughs in Ireland. As there seems to be a consensus, I'll go ahead and redirect this page to there. ~Asarlaí 01:31, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
