Kathleen Rooney is the editor of an emerging independent press, Rose Metal Press. She has also authored a book about Oprah's Book Club, which is mentioned in the Oprah's Book Club article.
Note than an earlier attempt to delete was defeated by consensus. Rooney's claim to notability includes mentions in the Chicago Tribune and the Boston Phoenix and many other newspapers, authorship of the only major book on the Oprah Winfrey Book Club, her inclusion in Random House's Twentysomething Essays by Twentysomething Writers: The Best New Voices of 2006, a Lilly Fellowship from Poetry Magazine, which is to poetry what Sports Illustrated is to sports, and her current post as Senate Aide to Chicago's Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois), the senior member of a Senate delegation whose junior member is Barack Obama. 75.13.45.228 (talk) 16:29, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
