NPOV

edit

Whilst this person is alive, the absence of critics or criticism of his positions when he is one of the most controversial Catholic priests in America seems to indicate the pov of traditional Catholics is not being considered, which is an Unencyclopedic omission. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.11.229.8 (talk) 02:45, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

On the contrary, several criticisms are indeed present on the page. From Burke, Sarah, from Chaput, from Flynn. Therefore, it is not clear what the issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given.
It is possible to remove when (cf. Template:POV#When_to_remove)
1. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given.
2. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.
3. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved. FatalSubjectivities (talk) 10:38, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I did read through the article thoroughly and agree with FatalSubjectivities, I don't see any reason to keep the tag up given the fact that you posted no additional opinions of traditional Catholics this piece should take into consideration and the article already includes a lot of voices critical of Fr Martin. Unless you have some specific points to add/ consider, it would make sense for us to remove the NPOV notice. KluskaSlaska (talk) 19:41, 18 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Article readability concern

edit

Greetings, editors! As a passer-by from Pope Francis and LGBT topics, with its thematic division, I find that the article is currently quite difficult to follow in reading. I think a more chronological biographical approach with a heading on Martin's later ministry could be helpful. In particular, I think Pilgrimages and Relationship with the Vatican could be redistributed into "chronological" headings, while keeping LGBTQ issues, Media ventures, and Views on denial of Communion on politicians as separate headings. Just my two cents! IgnatiusofLondon (talk) 12:23, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Also I wonder if LGBTQ ministry could be somewhat more neutral than LGBTQ issues. IgnatiusofLondon (talk) 12:23, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Incomplete bibliography

edit

The book "Jesus, a pilgrimage" is referred to in the Pilgrimages section, and is reference 33 to this entry, but is missing from the list of books authored section. Richard787 (talk) 20:01, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
