This page is mostly an exact copy of the Handbook of Texas online article. It needs to be edited and properly sourced. I would recommend finding a history of the Humble Oil Company (I used to own the book, so I know it exists), or else removing most of this article's content. Capitalization

...with a capitalization of $1 million based on 40,000 shares at $100 par value.

It's just a suggestion, but it might be helpful to explain why the company's capitalization is $1 million when 40,000 shares times $100/share par value comes to $4 million. Dick Kimball (talk) 13:37, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

As Enco was a secondary brand name of Humble Oil, it would be logical to merge Enco (oil company) her. Of course, et needs references like this article here. Beagel (talk) 12:35, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

• Opppose - If anything it was more of a secondary brand of the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey. Furthermore the existing Humble Oil article has been tagged as a duplicate, and if you checked the talk page, you'll see that sources do exist. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 19:27, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Pronunciation of Humble

I worked at Exxon in Houston in the eighties. Old timers always referred to the 'umble company. The H was never pronounced. 173.31.222.147 (talk) 19:43, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
