Fair use rationale for Image:Gwm-logo.jpg

edit

Image:Gwm-logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Rename article to Great Wall Motor (without "s")

edit

This company and most media are calling "Great Wall Motor" (without the last "s"). --Love Krittaya (talk) 09:39, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

With this asking to rename, I wait for answers about 1 months. Now I rename this article to Great Wall Motor. --Love Krittaya (talk) 09:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
This should be reverted. It is either "Great Wall Motor Company Limited" or "Great Wall Motors". As per their website. --Hm2k (talk) 17:07, 22 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

removal of "copying claims" section

edit

I don't believe the "copying claims" section enriches the article or better informs the reader and have removed that section. Fleetham (talk) 20:13, 25 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Keep We all understand that in your country, China, copyright infringement is not a huge deal. The world is very familiar with this fact. But in the rest of the world, it is very important. As such, allegations of copyright infringement are hugely important to this article. Skiendog (talk) 03:00, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Allegations without any citation or reference do not belong in Wiki. The fact that one product looks similar to another does not mean that it has been copied. Even if it seems so, you need to provide citation. Your assumptions or generalizations about someone's elses country is no reason for unsubstanciated claims. The claim that vehicles may have been copied has had no reference sourses since 2010. If the statement "may have benn copied" is not backed up by a reference, it will be removed. 106.68.188.100 (talk) 12:09, 31 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Export/History

edit

The information about GWM experience in Europe and the participation to Dakar race are correct but quite vague. In fact for both these strategic projects GWM has received a very important support from my person and my staff, as technical and commercial advisor from 2003 to 2007. I can say that without my cooperation, GWM would have been able to enter EU market but after two decades!!

Unfortunately they didn't report and recognise anywhere and anyhow such cooperation due to "priorities" related to commercial partnership in Italy. Anyway, I have evidence of my contribution as professional and expert of Auto Market, I think it should be fair to make it public (also to explain why ONLY this project is the one succeeding in Europe, and explain the asiatic approach to "developed markets" as well...).

In all fairness, I do hope Wikipedia will grant such opening to the truth.

Thanks for your attention.

Reliability of sources

edit

A blanket argument against state-owned sources would also prohibit use of CBC, BBC, NPR and Al Jazeera as sources. All of these are owned by states and are subject to various levels of direct or indirect editorial interference. (For instance, in the case of the CBC, they tend to provide more sympathetic coverage to parties that don't threaten to cut their operating budget.) If you want to make that argument WP:RS/N is the place to go. But threats to get the article fully protected for a year are somewhat laughable, and I'd suggest that most of this boils down to one user disliking the PRC. This article contains bizarre marketing material

edit

The section on the WEY brand reads like a very poor translation of marketing copy. It contains lyrical prose with no information content. Eduard Grebe (talk) 05:39, 8 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
