Heavy Bias - Poor exploration of subject

edit

This article is a classic example of writer bias and exemplifies strong unfamiliarity with comprehension of literary neutrality; this article is an emotionally-charged parallel of a grade-school journal entry. Strongly recommend deletion or overhaul of article by someone more competent and familiar with construction of literature for encyclopedic purpose. 35.33.138.240 (talk) 15:36, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

For the first time, I think someone would have been better off letting AI speak for them. Daniel Case (talk) 22:35, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

United example

edit

I've removed the United Airlines example, which read:

After United Airlines announced in 2021 that they sought to increase the number of women and people of color hired as pilot trainees, Piers Morgan accused the company of virtue signaling and Tucker Carlson described the company's executives as "ideologues ... suffering from an incurable brain disease called wokeness".[1]

The cited Washington Post article does not use the "go woke, go broke" phrasing, which means this example runs into WP:SYNTH issues. In addition, while the quote from Carlson mentions "wokeness", neither he nor Morgan argue that United will go "broke" as a result. It doesn't seem to be a good fit for this page. Poorly written

edit

In particular, this sentence:

When conservatives boycotted various companies in 2023, such as Bud Light, Target, and The Walt Disney Company, they experienced a loss in sales and stock value drops,

The "they" suggests conservatives experienced a loss in sales, when the object of the comment is the companies, and also suggests 'conservatives' are an actual organization. Suggest a rewrite to something like:

When conservative commentators encouraged boycotts of Bud Light, Target and The Walt Disney Company in 2023, those companies experienced notable losses in sales and stock value declines.
