Source: Moskowitz (1976), pp. 204–205; Stableford (1985), p. 50; Ellis (1977), p. 25; Victorian Secrets. Note that some of these give the year 1897 for Briton or Boer?, which is the year the hardcover was published, rather than 1896, the year the serial was.
