I hiked to the crater lake (Laguna Collanes) in the caldera in 1989. Practically the entire peak over the lake was glaciated and chunks of ice were continuously falling into the lake.
If the photos of the peak are recent, it looks to me like they have lost over 50% of their ice cover since 1989.
