No counterpart
editCross cannot be a counterpart because there's no other version coexisting. He's the only Dr. Mid-Nite, therefore, there's no counterpart. I understand you may be delighted by IC but any other interpretation different from facts is pure speculation. Lesfer 21:12, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- By that same logic, E-1 Batman has no counterpart since the E-2 version is not "co-exisiting" at this time, and yet E-2 Superman mentioned him. If so, then what is the point of E-1 Dick Grayson being referred to as "better" than his counterpart...who also is not "co-existing". Fact is, E-2 Superman in Infinite Crisis clearly states that E-2 should've been the template for this new Earth, not E-1. So any character left on the main Earth when E-2 was created are native to that world of the E-1 template. Two Flashs, two Green Lanterns, Two Doctor Mid-Nites, Two Mister Terrifics. Can we see a pattern??? Netkinetic 00:13, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Batmen, Robins, Flashes and Green Lanterns have coexisted. These were (are) counterparts. Mr. Terrifics and Dr. Mid-Nites don't. Now, this is a pattern. Hold your anxiety and wait till IC is over. Lesfer 04:17, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Lesfer, your comment relating to "anxiety" is in direct violation of No personal attacks, please refrain. In addition, the logic of your argument is not sound...both sets of Mid-Nites and Terrifics have coexisted, it's just that the appearence of the E-1 set came about *after* Crisis on Infinite Earths. Are you denying their existence on E-1???? Netkinetic 05:01, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- What?? Telling you to hold your anxiety is a direct violation of No personal attacks??? Have you paid attention to what you've just written? Please...
Anyway, McNider and Cross have not coexisted. The same goes for Sloane and Holt. Sloane died while the JLA were still based on the satellite, which means, before Crisis, way before Holt's first appearance. McNider died during Zero Hour, post-Crisis but before Cross appearing in comics. See? Both versions of both characters have not coexisted.
How can one be counterpart of another who does not exist?? Batman have an Earth-Two counterpart? No. What about Robin? No. Huntress? No. Superman? Yes, for sure. Lesfer 05:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)- I don't know if it's in continuity, but certainly Earth-Two and Earth-One Robins co-existed. And Huntress began as an Earth-Two character with no Earth-One counterpart. I don't know if the two Batmans every teamed-up, but there were definitely two of them. Portsmouth City question
editWhere was it established that Portsmouth City is in Oregon? RahadyanS 15:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- You got me there. I don't remember off-hand, but everything I add on Wiki comes from my personal site and I make a strict habit to never put conjecture in my entries without labeling at such. Will investigate... Myke4 13:45, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Break
editWouldn't it make sense to, at the very least, separate Pieter Cross's article? Perhaps in a way like they handled the multiple super heroes who have used the name The Ray.
Failing that, it'd be cool to get a better picture of Mid-Nite. The current one is panned pretty far back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.118.205.72 (talk) 17:20, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
The link to John Snyder leads to the wrong Snyder. It leads to a Louisiana politician of the same name, rather than John K. Snyder the III, the actual creator. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.255.55.140 (talk) 23:48, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
