Greek and English article
editHello Demetrios the Greek article and the English one aren't exactly focused on the same thing as in the Greek one there is also the biography of Katsifas (Early life, personal family, drug trafficking trials) while the English article is solely focused on his Death. Also as there was a media claiming that he may have killed himself that was not the standard view from the Albanian media. So that is why i think the "Expand Greek" template is not needed anymore.RoyalHeritageAlb (talk) 15:50, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- The English article included a similar section on his background, but it was removed due to insufficient sourcing (diff1, diff2). Personally, I am indifferent, but leaning more towards viewing it as unnecessary; the page Death of Aristotelis Goumas doesn't have one either. In any case, most of the respective Greek article – which is titled Υπόθεση Κατσίφα 'Case of Katsifas' – deals with the actual incident, and subsequent reactions to it; the biographical section is rather small and insignificant when compared to the rest of the body. I do not have time to work on the article right now; but, as I mentioned in my edit summary, it still needs more cleanup and expansion, which why I think that the {{expand Greek}} template remains useful. I am not familiar with the standard view presented in Albanian media, but we have to consider whether it is outdated. In 2021, the Prosecutor's Office in Gjirokastër, in line with the examination of Albanian forensic experts, announced that Katsifas committed suicide; if I recall correctly, his family has appealed against this conclusion on more than one occasion.
