First Inversion in the UK
editI'm not sure if this is true, I thought that the Revoloution at Blackpool opened in 1978, can anyone confirm this?.
- The revolutions page says it was opened in 1979.
- Coasterforce.com backs up the wiki dates too, so I think the claim is innacurate.
- Also IIRC wasnt there a phase of wooden looped rollercoasters in the 1900-1910 period but they went out of fashion due to being spectacularily dangerous.195.171.111.194 12:02, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure the Revolution at Blackpool opened earlier, I've requested a citation for the claim. --ericthefish 11:01, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Section Removed
editI've removed the following section,
"It is said the park's mother group Tussauds will not let the ride be dismantled because it is part of the trading image of Alton Towers, as it is a ride that everyone knows about."
as it doesn't seem to be backed up by anything at all (as well as the fact that Alton Towers is now owned by Merlin). Nicpowel (talk) 14:53, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
