There are six entries in the "External links". Three seems to be an acceptable number and of course, everyone has their favorite to add for four. The problem is that none is needed for article promotion.
ELpoints #3) states: Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links.
LINKFARM states: There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to the external links section of an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate.
WP:ELCITE: access dates are not appropriate in the external links section. Do not use {{cite web}} or other citation templates in the External links section. Citation templates are permitted in the Further reading section. -- Otr500 (talk) 12:12, 10 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
CtasACT, I've looked at the article, and it is not ready to be nominated as a good article at this time. There are several points where claims either don't have citations or cannot be verified by the citations they have. I checked a few places and provided a few examples below, but the whole article needs to be checked from top to bottom to ensure that the sources line up entirely with the content in the article. If you want to keep explanatory footnotes separate from references, you can use Template:Efn and then put Template:Noteslist below to collect them. One major benefit of this is that you can put references inside of them, since right now the references within the notes are bare links.
Note that the lead doesn't need citations so long as those facts have citations in the body.
A few paragraphs have no citations.
What's the purpose of the "books" section? Is it supposed to be further reading?
[1] Meseret Chekol Reta (2013) – Checked both uses in the body. The source says he worked at Ye'Zareyitu Ethiopia and at the Ministry of Information, but not that the former was part of the latter. Second use is good.
[6] Yibeltal (2016) – Doesn't support date of birth, wealthy family, or that that his name change was in college. Also, the father didn't move his family to the capital, he had a different wife there.
