I was having a little joke with the edit summary but I think it's a fair enough redirect. Lawrence used to sign himself in hotel registers as 338171 A/C Shaw, as detailed in his biography. The number is used to reference him in several books. It is possible that people unfamiliar with the subject would use it to try to find out information, so the redirect is useful. So in what books is he listed as "338171" and not Lawrence? Redirects might be cheap but I'm not convinced this one has any point. It's not as if it has any incoming links... --kingboyk 03:06, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Try "338171 T.E." by Victoria Ocampo (published in Buenos Aires, 1942) for a reference in the title. Have a look at this which quotes Lord Stamfordham as writing "You ought not to be '338171 AC Shaw'". Then try this, this, or this. Finally, for a picture of Lawrence's signature, see here.
