Country code
edit@A Simple Human: Hi. FYI, there is nothing wrong with using NGR for Nigeria within Template:cr. The template specifies to "Use either the name of the nation or a three-letter country code, as specified by ISO 3166-1, IOC or FIFA". NGR is the IOC code, NGA is the ISO term, so both are correct and both are used in a cricket sense. I won't change it back because there is no reason to do so, but likewise it was correct in the first place too :) Bs1jac (talk) 08:20, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Bs1jac: I didnt say you were wrong. I dont care honestly. I just went consistent with other cricket articles involving Nigeria. Human (talk) 08:29, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
List A
edit@Bs1jac: Agreed. These are not List A matches. Neither are the Namibia-Uganda matches anymore. Human (talk) 10:31, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, had not noticed those games had changed back. "Status" is a weird thing in this sport isn't it! Bs1jac (talk) 10:36, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- @A Simple Human: By the way, I found duplicate profiles for this Kenyan player in Cricinfo. I have asked them to merge, but not sure if they will go with Peter Langat (as in Cricclubs) or Peter Koech (as in the squad announcement). Leaving it here as Koech for now, but keep an eye on which profile is kept and used for this game. Bs1jac (talk) 13:38, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Bs1jac: Peter Koech seems to be the more reliable one as that how the Kenyan board themselves calls him and also most of his career stats are available there. Human (talk) 14:01, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- @A Simple Human: True, although the ICC refer to a Peter Langat at least once. I have seen Peter Langat, Peter Koech and Peter Kipkoech Langat in various places! I would ignore the career stats as Cricinfo have now asked me which is correct... I don't know lol! Bs1jac (talk) 14:13, 7 September 2021 (UTC)

- @Bs1jac: ICC might not be always right. They dont cover associate news or bother putting fixtures on their calender unless its an ICC event. Tbh, CI has lots of things to fix, like John Grima and the Swedish players' names amongst others. Ive also found many of the Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Afghan and Pakistani players having duplicate profiles. Human (talk) 14:21, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Langat it is though! Bs1jac (talk) 08:11, 8 September 2021 (UTC)

T20I series
editThere is some confusion regarding the T20 series. Previously announced as 13 matches (each team plays each other 4 times, plus a final). However, the live scoring only shows 8 games for the round-robin stage, one per day, with Uganda playing 6, Kenya and Nigeria 5 each. First two games both Uganda-Kenya. Cricinfo asked me if I knew of any change. I suspect the live scoring simply hasn't loaded all of the games correctly. This report] does say "8-match T20I series" although I assume that means 8 matches for Kenya. We'll just have to keep an eye on it, but so far I think fixtures are unchanged. Confirmed it is changing to 9 round-robin games (a triple round robin). Waiting for details. Bs1jac (talk) 14:02, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
@Bs1jac: Uganda cricket is mentioning the rescheduling of the washed away match to a reserved day: [1]. Human (talk) 06:30, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- Let's keep an eye on it... If they do replay then it will be like the 2019 Europe qualifier, with the first game still counting as a T20I, but not affecting the pints table. Bs1jac (talk) 11:22, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
