First of all, no musician worth his or her salt would even include a natural 13 in an alt chord. It is not even in the alt scale. I was startled to read this, and went on to verify it with 3 other practicing musicians, one who has taught jazz theory for 5 decades. Secondly a more common pair of interpretations would be those I have given in the changed text.
