Girlfriend magazine is an Australian teen girls magazine established in December 1988 by Futura Publications.[3][4] Since 2020, the magazine has been owned by Are Media.[2]

The Girlfriend Model Search is a modelling competition.[5] In past years, the model search has been sponsored by Priceline, Schwarzkopf, CoverGirl and Rimmel London.[6] with selected 2007 national finalists even being appointed as the faces of "Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour" semi-permanent hair colorant products.[7]
