Function

edit

GABRG3 is a subunit of the GABAA receptor for the neurotransmitter gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA).[5]

Association with alcoholism

edit

Genetic markers near the GABRG3 gene are statistically linked to alcoholism.[6]
