Data is derived from en:Statewide opinion polling for the United States presidential election, 2008. Polls have a half life of 10 days (i.e., ${\displaystyle weight={\frac {1}{2^{\frac {days}{10}}}}}$). Polls are not used prior to the date of the 10th most recent poll, in order to ensure that the map is quick enough to respond to recent changes in opinion.
