Description
Deutsch: Gemälde der Schlacht bei Großbeeren am 23. August 1813.
Anmerkung: Im Hintergrund ist die Feldstein-Dorfkirche von Großbeeren zu sehen, die allerdings bereits im Siebenjährigen Kriege 1760 durch russische Truppen zerstört worden war und nun noch mehr litt. Zum Andenken an die Schlacht ließ der preußische König Friedrich Wilhelm III. 1818-20 durch Karl Friedrich Schinkel an ihrer Stelle eine neogotische Kirche errichten. Im Buch geht die Abbildung über beide Seiten, so dass beim Scan ein Schattenwurf in der Mitte (Buchfalz) unvermeidbar war, der mit Photoshop zu mildern versucht wurde.
