Summary
editSUNY Stony Brook's Francium page
Cropped image of device used to trap Francium atoms. Taken from SUNY Stony Brook's Francium news page. Permission granted by Gene Sprouse of SUNY Stony Brook Physics Department. Meets all fair use criteria:
1. No free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information. This is the only picture of a device which was created and is solely operated by Stony Brook Physics.
2. The material must not be used in a manner that would likely replace the original market role of the original copyrighted media. The picture is not taken from an organization that makes profits off of selling pictures.

4. The material must have previously been published. Image was published on the aforementioned Stony Brook page.
5. The material must be encyclopedic and otherwise meet general Wikipedia content requirements. Image is entirely encyclopedic.
6. The material must meet the media-specific policy requirements. It does.
7. The material must be used in at least one article. Image will be used in Francium.
8. The material must contribute significantly to the article. Image identifies the device with which francium is trapped.
9. Non-free images may be used only in the article namespace. Only to be used in Francium.
10. The image or media description page must contain: Proper attribution of the source of the material, and attribution of the copyright holder (if it is different). Given above. An appropriate fair use tag indicating which Wikipedia policy provision permitting the use is claimed. Given below. For each article for which fair use is claimed, the name of the article and a "fair use rationale". Given above.
