Русский: «Четвёртый Вселенский Собор». Фреска храма Рождества Богородицы (Ферапонтов монастырь). Четвёртый вселенский собор – Халкидонский, проходил в 451 году в Халкидоне при императоре Маркиане. Собран против архимандрита Евтихия, который отвергал человеческую сущность Христа, и признавал только Божественную (это учение носит название монофизитство). На соборе присутствовало 650 епископов, которые осудили это лжеучение.
