Mapya Dudhkoshi (Nepali: माप्य दुधकोशी गाउँपालिका) is a rural municipality (gaunpalika) out of seven rural municipality located in Solukhumbu District of Koshi Province of Nepal. There are a total of 8 municipalities in Solukhumbu in which 1 is urban and 7 are rural.

Mapya Dudhkoshi (Nepali: माप्य दुधकोशी गाउँपालिका) is one of seven rural municipalities located in the Solukhumbu District of Koshi Province, Nepal. The region features a total of eight municipalities, consisting of one urban municipality and seven rural municipalities. As of the 2011 Census of Nepal, Mapya Dudhkoshi spans an area of 167.67 square kilometers (64.74 square miles) and has a total population of 13,414.
The establishment of Mapya Dudhkoshi is a result of the administrative restructuring mandated by the Constitution of Nepal, enacted in 2015. This constitutional change led to the merging of several previously separate Village Development Committees (VDCs), specifically Jubing, Basa, Kaku, and Baku, into a single local governance unit. This reorganization aimed to enhance local governance and service delivery, addressing the needs of the communities more effectively.
Mapya Dudhkoshi is divided into seven wards, with the municipality's headquarters situated in Basa. Each ward serves as an administrative subdivision, allowing for better management of local resources and services. According to Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Developme Mapya Dudhkoshi has an area of 167.67 square kilometres (64.74 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is 13414 as of Census of Nepal 2011.[1][2][3]
Part of Jubing, Basa, Kaku and Baku which previously were all separate Village development committee merged to form this new local level body. Fulfilling the requirement of the new Constitution of Nepal 2015, Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development replaced all old VDCs and Municipalities into 753 new local level body (Municipality).[1][3]
The rural municipality is divided into total 7 wards and the headquarter of this newly formed rural municipality is situated in Basa.[1][3]
