History

edit

MIP was officially launched in 2022 with the aim of identifying potential candidates for full-time positions. Similar to other internship programs, MIP was temporarily suspended in late 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]

MIP returned in 2024 with two internship seasons: the Madiad Summer Internship Program 2024 (MSIP 2024) and the Madiad Internship Program Fall 2024 (MIP Fall 2024).

The program have applicants from 54 provinces across Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Nha Trang, Can Tho, and Binh Duong, representing diverse universities such as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, etc.

MIP works entirely remote, interns have to flexible in working time and working space. However, assessing soft skills, work performance, and cultural fit faced certain limitations in this virtual format.[3] [4]

The Theoretical Framework

edit

The MIP's pedagogical approach aligns with David Kolb's Experiential Learning Theory [5]. Interns undergo a cyclical learning process involving concrete experiences, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. This methodology ensures that interns not only acquire practical skills but also develop a deep understanding of theoretical concepts through hands-on application.

Internship Positions

Application Process

edit

To be considered for the MIP, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Program Duration and Extension: Each internship term at MIP spans three months. Upon completion of a term, interns may choose to extend their involvement, either by transitioning to a different role or continuing in their existing position.[6]

Program Regulations and Policies [7]

General Provisions

  • Compliance with Laws: Interns are required to fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to labor, data privacy, and other relevant areas.

Conflict of Interest

  • Scope of Work: Interns may not engage in activities that could create a conflict of interest with their work at MIP and its affiliated projects.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts: If any conflict of interest is discovered, interns must immediately notify their direct supervisor.

Some opinions suggest that the program's training quality has not fully met expectations, while others question the program's legality and whether MIP is a disguised form of multi-level marketing.[8]

  • Internship Coordinator - Coordinates and connects, directly assisting in the day-to-day management of interns.
