Kumbh Sah'AI'yak:[1] is an AI-powered multilingual chatbot developed to assist visitors during the Mahakumbh 2025, held in Prayagraj, India. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 13, 2024[2], this chatbot is designed to provide seamless assistance and enhance the pilgrimage experience for millions of devotees attending the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj between 13th January 2025 and 26th February 2025[3].
The chatbot is available in Hindi, English, and nine other Indian languages[4] and is accessible via WhatsApp ( 91-8887847135), browser (chatbot.kumbh.up.gov.in), the Mahakumbh 2025 mobile app, and the official website (kumbh.gov.in).

- Travel Assistance: Provides details on transportation options to and within Prayagraj, along with guidance on navigating the Kumbh Mela premises.
- Key Attractions: Offers information on cultural, spiritual, and historical landmarks within and around Prayagraj, including maps and brochures.
- Stay Planning: Assists with accommodation options and facilities available in and near the mela area.
- Personalized Kumbh Image Creator: Users can upload their photograph, receive a personalized image with Mahakumbh backdrop, and share it online with their friends and community.[6][7]
The chatbot will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Urdu.[8]
Technology and Development
editThe chatbot is helmed by the Prayagraj Mela Authority and UPDESCO with the support of multiple technology partners. Key partners involved are Samagra (anchor partner)[9], Bhashini (translation services)[10], and Krutrim (Open-source LLM infrastructure)[11]. The chatbot’s development is being supported by Punjab National Bank.
