Minimum Wage and Earned Paid Sick Time Initiative |
2024 Missouri Proposition A, also known as Minimum Wage and Earned Paid Sick Time Initiative is an initiated state statute that will appear on the ballot on November 5, 2024, in Missouri. The statute would incrementally increase Missouri's minimum wage from $12.30 per hour to $15.00 per hour by 2026, and adjust the resulting $15.00 per hour minimum wage to changes in the Consumer Price Index. Additionally, the statute would require employers to provide an hour of payed sick leave for every 30 hours worked.[1][2]
Background
editProposition A was initiated by the group Missourians for Healthy Families and Fair Wages who collected the necessary signatures to place the statute on the ballot.[3]
