TGR TeamauTOM'S has elected to use the GT500 champion's number "1".
Sacha Fenestraz return to the series after a two-year stint in Formula E with Nissan. Fenestraz joins SARD as he reunites with 2021 GT300 champion Yuhi Sekiguchi for the first time since 2020. Yuichi Nakayama who has raced with SARD for six years leaves the team to focus on Super Taikyu, and TGR's Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie.
Nissan:
Team Impul sponsor Marelli which sponsored the team before with previous brand Calsonic for over 43 years ended their association. Tokyo Radiator (TRS) will be the team main sponsor.[8][9]
Four-time GT500 champion, and Nissan factory driver Ronnie Quintarelli retired from the Super GT Series after the 2024 season. Quintarelli has raced in the series from 2005, and raced with the manufacture from 2008.[10]
Anest Iwata Racing ended their association with Arnage Racing after operated the team for two seasons. Arnage Racing who has competed in the series for over 11 years announced that they would not continue to compete in the 2025 Super GT season.[7]
BMW MTeam Studie driver Bruno Spengler who raced with them for two seasons, leaves the team after he ended his association with BMW M at the end of 2024 season.[11]
apr have a new line up as both Kazuto Kotaka and Jin Nakamura leaves the team and series, with Kotaka focus on Super Formula along with his role as reserve driver for GT500 Toyota and Nakamura moves to FRECA with R-ace GP. The team signed Miki Koyama who raced with R'Qs Motor Sports and also drives for the team in Super Taikyu ST-X last season.[1]
Pacific Racing Team ended their partnership with virtual YouTuber agency VSPO!.[12]
The provisional calendar for 2025 was confirmed on 1 August 2024, which consists of eight races.[13] The series will race abroad for the first time since 2019, and they will return to race at Sepang International Circuit for the first time since 2013.[14]
