The 2023 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards was held between 18 and 20 May 2023.[1][2] The event included a series of pre-show activities with the actual award show held on 20 May 2023.[2][3]

The nominees were revealed by actors Bisola Aiyeola, Adjetey Anang, Jasmine Olarotimi and Nifemi Lawal on 16 April 2023 in a ceremony.[4] A total of 12 categories were open to public voting, while the other 21 categories were decided by a panel of judges headed by Femi Odugbemi.[2][4] The most nominations were earned by Kunle Afolayan's epic film, Anikulapo.[4]
The winner of the Best Soundtrack category won a ₦1 million prize.[5][6]
