Oversee the administration of the YUHSD Unified Sports (swim, basketball, track, and spiritline).
Liaison meets regularly with the athletic directors, Special Olympics and AIA to ensure quality program standards are being met, and policies and rules are being followed.
Ensure practice plans are in place for each sport.
Assist in recruiting and hiring Unified Coaches.
Impart the philosophy of a positive inclusive sports experience by following the principles of Unified Sports®.
Assist Unified Coaches in recruiting students with disabilities for the teams.
Handle all paperwork requirements and forms required by YUHSD and Special Olympics in a timely fashion.
Assist Athletic Directors in recruiting volunteers to help manage the events.
