Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics holds a pivotal role in steering the organization's strategic direction by leveraging data-driven insights across critical areas such as claims, retention, marketing, digital initiatives, contact center operations, and direct mail campaigns. Responsible for owning data management and business intelligence, this individual will oversee the analytics strategy, ensuring actionable insights inform decision-making at all organizational levels. Through collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, they drive efficient enhancements, identify growth opportunities, and elevate the overall customer experience. In essence, this role serves as the cornerstone for driving Oncourse Home's success through comprehensive data utilization and strategic decision-making.

This role is located at our headquarters in Naperville, IL. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required – business needs from time to time may warrant in office time on M & F.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Develop and oversee the analytics strategy to drive data-driven decision-making across claims, retention, marketing, digital initiatives, contact center operations, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Lead efforts to inform, power, measure, and optimize analytics initiatives across multiple channels.
  • Supervise a team of data managers and analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional business units to align analytics efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Establish and enforce standards, methods, and best practices within the Analytics team to ensure the delivery of best-in-class measurement plans, analysis, and relevant outputs.
  • Provide detailed requirements to the data engineering team for data pipeline development.
  • Manages data quality and data governance across the organization.

We're Excited If This Is You

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in analytics, including hands-on experience with data analysis, modeling, and interpretation.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful leadership and team management, with at least 3 years of people management experience leading analytics teams.
  • Track record of consistently recognizing and rewarding excellent performance and addressing performance issues head-on, without delay.
  • Is equipped to manage individuals situationally based on the person’s skill level, work style, and areas of opportunity.
  • Demonstrated skills and technical ability to build new data models/data sets as a self-starter, toggling between mentorship and individual contribution.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing analytics strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis and analytics methods to derive insights.
  • Extensive experience in leveraging data visualization tools to communicate complex findings and insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into decision-making processes and drive organizational change.
  • Experience building and managing large, complex data models across multiple source systems.
  • Experience with subscription businesses and contact center data and metrics highly desirable.

Bachelor's Degree

Computer Skills Needed To Perform This Job

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Deep familiarity with business intelligence tools, preferably Looker, for data analysis.
  • Direct experience working with data warehouse technologies, preferably Snowflake.
  • Data transformation tool experience (DBT).
