REMOTE EMPLOYEES MUST RESIDE IN LOUISIANA, PREFERABLY IN SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER, RUSTON, OR MONROE AREAS

Are you passionate about inclusion and empowering people with intellectual disabilities? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a real impact? Special Olympics Louisiana is seeking a dynamic Regional Manager to oversee our Unified Programs in the Northwest/Northeast Areas.

In this role, you'll lead regional Unified Programs, expanding athletic opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, fostering inclusion in schools and communities, and empowering athletes to become leaders.

Special Olympics Louisiana transforms lives through the power of sports. You'll play a key role in creating a more inclusive world for people with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow Unified Sports programs, creating regional qualifier sporting events and fostering school participation.
  • Oversee local program development, ensuring athletes have access to year-round training and competition.
  • Partner with schools to implement Unified Champion Schools programs, promoting inclusion for students of all abilities.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches, program staff, and athletes.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, community partners, and businesses to secure resources.
  • Represent Special Olympics Louisiana at local events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in sports management/administration
  • 3 years of program management experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Louisiana.

Qualifications:
