Position Summary

The Manager of Health & Wellness (H&W) Portfolio will contribute to Grupo Bimbo’s Purpose to Nourish a Better World and our Mission for Delicious and Nutritious Baked Goods and Snacks In the Hands of All through the development of new brands and products in H&W space.

The person in this position will need to rely on a variety of marketing, innovation, and business management skill sets and will be responsible for bringing to life multiple projects that fulfill our H&W objectives. The role will include understanding our business objectives, interpreting consumer research, conducting market analysis, working collaboratively across a global team, and shepherding new ideas through a product development process. This individual will need to demonstrate consumer empathy, as well as excellent teamwork, the ability to navigate in uncertainty, communication skills, organization, and project management skills. Exposure to a variety of market research techniques and experience in data analysis are also important. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about healthy food and food trends and who enjoy the work of creating new things.

This position reports to the VP of H&W Portfolio, North America

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Analysis
  • Must be agile in creating and interpreting data to generate business insights.
  • Use information, logic, and sound business judgment to develop business recommendations, new products, and categories. Mine trend and consumer data to map where the consumer is going to generate compelling strategies.
  • Support VP on data analysis to support strategies.
  • Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal research partner to design consumer learning plans and other consumer and product innovation studies.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams (Brand Teams, Manufacturing, Sales, R&D, Global H&W Team, Corporate Strategy) to ensure alignment of direction at all stages of development and launch.
  • Innovation Development and Project Management
  • Use strong project management skills to navigate product development through to execution.
  • Develop new packaging graphics for new products.
  • Prepare persuasive sales and internal communication materials.
  • Collaborate with Finance on P&L development.
  • Work with commercial team to execute product launches.
  • Communication
  • Ability to build persuasive presentations.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to keep team members knowledgeable and on track.

Education And Work History

  • Bachelor’s level degree in marketing, Innovation or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, CPG preferred.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and be proficient at other analytical tools and data sources.
  • Experience with syndicated data such as IRI or Nielsen.
  • Previous experience in an innovation role is a plus.
  • Experience with consumer research and concept/prototype testing is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 15% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
