What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, engineering, architecture, product management and external partners
  • Manage and maintain IT analytics strategy, standards, and processes
  • Develop and maintain live 24x7x365 IT operational dashboards
  • Provide guidance on selecting the most effective visualizations to convey data trends, patterns, and insights
  • Interact with end users on requirements gathering, with a focus on understanding the problem and how insights from dashboards and reports can enable data driven decisions
  • Develop and establish benchmarks to ensure the level of service our clients and stakeholders receive meets or exceeds their expectations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality to aid our stakeholders in providing quality service to Cox Automotive clients
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to operations team members and recommend training as appropriate
  • Design and support Snowflake database structures for new and evolving sources of data and reporting needs
  • Transform raw data sources to star schema models for efficient use by Power BI dashboard and report developers
  • Query and analyze data to identify anomalies and recommend solutions
  • Define standards, templates and conventions for data stores used by analytics platforms
  • Design and maintain a dashboard deployment pipeline

  • Able to work collaboratively with minimal supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to direct a highly technical team and manage simultaneous large/small scale projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills to select, develop, mentor, and rewards team member

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Understanding of basic data warehouse data modeling techniques (e.g., star schemas, fact and dimension tables, conformed dimensions)
  • Understanding of SQL fundamentals (tables and views, cardinality/inner vs. outer joins, aggregation)
  • Understanding of UI / UX principles in dashboard design
  • Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices
  • 7 years experience leading IT operations teams
  • Minimum 10 years experience in IT operations or development domains
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing and IT operational strategy in a large, complex environment with successful outcomes
  • Proven analytical and problem solving ability
  • Comfortable with interfacing with other internal or external organizations regarding improvements identified through our ongoing IT operational reviews
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders and teams.
  • Understanding of ITIL IT Service Management Practices and ServiceNow platform
  • Understanding of data lake and visualization tools/platforms including Snowflake, PowerBI, Metabase

USD 142,100.00 - 236,800.00 per year

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $142,100.00 - $236,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
